English Name: Downward Facing Dog Stretch
Meaning: Adho means downward, mukha means face and swana means dog. A dog bends forward in the same posture, that’s why the name is Adhomukha Swanasana.

- Pregnant ladies should avoid this Asana.

Procedure:
- Lie on your stomach
- Both the legs should be close to each other.
- Take a deep inhale and during exhalation come to the position as shown in the diagram
- Both your palms and feet should be flat on the ground and they should be stretched completely.
- Do not bend your hands or legs.
- Kindly do not raise your feet.
- Take your head inside and hold in the posture for 1 min.
- Concentrate on your breathing and maintain a gentle smile on your face.

- Trataka:Trataka the exercise of fixing the gaze steadily on an object without blinking.this practice of trataka activates the tear glands, purifying the visual system.
- Neti :Neti is a of technique to purify the nostrils.
- Dhouti:Dhouti kriya are meant for cleansing the intestine. There are three types of dhouti kriyas, all which are helpful to relieve gastric issues, acidity and asthma.
- Nauli :Naul kriya purifies and strengthens all the vital internal organs.
- Vasti : vasti kriya is the practice of cleaning the rectum and is essentially a yogic enema to clean the colon.
