You must try this nutritious Coconut rice!

We Indians, especially in South, love rice and cannot imagine a day without the same. Also, we are highly equipped with varieties of cooking rice. One among them is Coconut rice. Here is the recipe for delicious and amazing coconut rice. Take a look and try on!!

Ingredients:

Brown Basmati Rice – 60g (3/4th cooked)
Fresh coconut – 30g (grated)
Cashew – 7-8 no.
Mustard seeds – a pinch
Chana dal – 1tsp
Black gram dhal – 1tsp
Curry leaves – few
Dried red chilli – 1 no.
Green chilli – 2 no.
Ginger (finely chopped) – ½ tsp
Salt – to taste
Oil – 2 tbs

Process:

Take a pan – add oil, mustard seeds, curry leaves, black gram dhal, chena gram dhal dry red chilli, cashew and saute on light flame till golden brown.

Now add brown basmati rice, grated coconut and mix thoroughly.

Add salt, green chilli, ginger and saute lightly to avoid breaking of rice

Simmer for 2-4 minutes and remove from the pan.

Your coconut rice is ready for serving!
