Wearing high heels might affect the bone health of a woman. Yes, you heard that right! Wearing them regularly will affect the overall posture and increases the risk of backache. A survey conducted by Max Healthcare revealed these details after observing nearly 50 women aged between 20 to 45 years and above.

The study revealed that wearing the high heels on regular basis affects the joints of ankle and knees. And not just that heels also impacts the back and toes.

When you wear high heels, they put lot of pressure on the spine and this hampers the proper bone health and it’s posture over a period of time as these heels create an anomalous and improper angle for the ankle which builds more pressure and then hinders the circulation of the foot.

Shockingly, in some cases, the big toe becomes deformed which is termed as Hallux Valgus. And this can be fixed through surgery. Also, regular use of high heels can lead to continuous back pain and osteoporosis.

So, be aware ladies! Prefer only loafers, flats, ballerinas, slip ons etc for regular usage.
