Want the recipe for nutritious Oats Haleem? Here it is!

It’s the season of Ramadan and ofcourse, Haleem! But are you a vegetarian and still want to eat healthy and delicious Haleem? We have a great recipe for you! And, it is Oats Haleem! Below is the recipe for the same. Read on and enjoy the tasty Haleem.

Ingredients:

Oats- 40 g

Broken wheat (Dhalya) – 30 g

Black gram dhal – 10 g

Bengal gram dhal – 25 g

Onion – 100 g

Tomatoes – 75 g

Carrot – 25 g

French beans – 25 g

Cauliflower – 25 g

Peas – 50 g

Green chillies- 20 g

Oil – 20 g

Mint and coriander – ¼ bunch each

Black pepper – few

Cloves – 2

Cinnamon – 1 small stick

Cardamom – 3

Shahzeera – 2 pinch

Turmeric – ¼ tsp

Red chilli powder – ¼ tsp

Salt – as per taste

Ginger garlic paste – ½ tsp

Roasted cumin seed powder – ¼ tsb

Garam masala powder – ½ tsp

Lemon – 1

Mint and coriander (for garnishing) – 2 tsps

Process:

Soak the broken wheat and dhal separately for 3-4 hours

Now, taken broken wheat and oats. Add salt and turmeric and then pressure cook it until they become soft.

Also, pressure cook dhal separately

Now, add cooked dhals to broken wheat and smash it well

Take a pan, fry onion till golden brown and keep half of them aside

To the remaining onions, add cloves, cardamom, black pepper, cinnamon and shahzeera followed by tomatoes and saute it.

Now add salt, turmeric, red chilli powder and ginger garlic paste. Stir it well.

Add chopped cauliflower, French beans, carrot, peas and saute it until oil separates.

Now, add water and simmer it well till all the vegetables are soft.

Finally, add dhania powder, cumin seeds powder and garam masala.

Add this mixture to vegetable gravy.

Squeeze half a lemon and add water if needed.

Now, garnish it with min and coriander, fried onion and butter.

Serve it hot with lemon.
