Tips to keep your eyes healthy

Eye health is something everyone ignore and we strongly recommend you to not take your eyes for granted. So, in order to help you out, we have come up with the list of things you need to take care of if you want to maintain good eye sight. Give a quick read.

1. First and foremost thing is to eat well. Prefer well-balanced meals that include like omega-3 fatty acids, lutein, zinc, and vitamins C and E might help ward off age-related vision problems like macular degeneration and cataracts. So eat leafy vegetables, oranges, fish, nuts, beans etc in your diet without fail.

2. Reduce your time with screens because they are the main reasons for poor vision, dry eyes, headaches, pain in shoulders, neck etc.

3. When you feel strain on your eyes, rest your eyes every 20 minutes. Look 20 feet away for 20 seconds. Get up at least every 2 hours and take a 15-minute break.

4. You should quit smoking because it makes you more likely to get cataracts, damage to your optic nerve, and macular degeneration, among many other medical problems.

5. Wear safety glasses, if you use hazardous or airborne materials on the job or at home.
