WHO reports 10% weekly rise in Coronavirusvirus cases
The World Health Organization has reported there was a 10 per cent increase in new coronavirus cases worldwide last week.
The WHO added that the globally number of new Covid-19 cases rose in early January at nearly 5 million cases but then dropped to about 2.5 million cases per week in mid February.
The WHO further added that Covid-19 numbers in the America and Europe accounted for more than 80% of all new cases and deaths in the last week.
The rise in the cases witnessed as many countries have temporarily suspended their use of AstraZeneca’s Covid-19 vaccine and reports that it is linked to blood clots.
