According to experts, at least 60 minutes of physical exercise is a must to lead a healthy life and there is no denying. Out of many forms of physical exercises, weight training has numerous health benefits and as per the recent study, 60 minutes of weight training every week could extend life expectancy.

In case if you are not aware, weight training helps you to build strong bones and also lowers the risk of heart diseases and diabetes as well.

A new research study by the British Journal of Sports Medicine said that people who take part in 30-60 minutes resistance training per week lowered their risk of early death from all causes by 10 to 20 percent.

Also, the study revealed that combining resistance training with cardiovascular activities enhanced the benefit, providing a 40 percent lower risk of premature death, a 46 percent lower incidence of heart disease and a 28 percent lower chance of dying from cancer.
