Covid-19 in India: 1 lakh new cases, lowest in 2 months
In the past 24 hours, India has registered nearly 1 lakh new Covid-19 cases and this is the lowest single-day rise in the last 2 months.
According to health ministry, India has recorded 1,00,636 fresh Covid-19 cases and 2427 deaths in the last 24 hours.
India’s total Covid death toll has now neared 3.50 lakh while the total case tally is at 2,89,09,975.
With this, India’s active caseload has further declined to 14,01,609 while the active cases decreased by 76,190 in 24 hours.
The top five states which have registered the maximum Covid cases are Tamil Nadu with 20,421 cases, followed by Kerala with 14,672 cases, Maharashtra with 12,557 cases, Karnataka with 12,209 cases and Andhra Pradesh with 8,976 cases.
