Does Vitamin D deficiency impact children?

The growth and good health of children should be considered as a high priority. Period. Make sure you give all the essential nutrients, minerals and vitamins to your kids for the proper development. One among them is Vitamin D as it is the most important element for the child’s growth.

And at the same time, the Vitamin D deficiency is very common in children as well as in adults. It can be diagnosed through a blood test. Babies up to 2 years old are at a higher risk for developing this deficiency because they’re generally exposed to less sunlight than adults.

If your child develops vitamin D deficiency, it could cause –

1. Seizures due to low calcium levels
2. Growth failure
3. Irritability
4. Lethargy
5. Muscle weakness
6. Frequent respiratory infections
