The condition of Rheumatoid Arthritis can be very exhausting and no one denies it. If you are planning a trip with the person experiencing Rheumatoid Arthritis, then you need to have a plan considering the discomfort it can cause.

In case if you don’t know, Rheumatoid Arthritis is a chronic disease of the joints. If left untreated it can cause severe damage and disability to the joints and also affect various internal organs of the body.

Tips for the road trip:

1. Make sure the person exercises the knees and ankles for a few minutes every hour.
2. Take frequent breaks
3. Also, prolonged sitting in one position can stiffen the joints. This can cause pain and great difficulty while getting out of a vehicle.
4. Make the person stretch the knees or take a short walk whenever possible.
5. Always keep your pain-killer (analgesic) and medication prescribed by your doctor.
