on

Blood Orange is a variety of orange with crimson (almost blood-coloured flesh). This is due to the presence of anthocyanins, a family of polyphenol pigments common to many flowers and fruits. But uncommon in citrus fruits.

Blood oranges are a great source of Vitamin C, Vitamin A, fibre, folate, potassium and other vitamins and minerals essential to our overall health.

These can be squeezed for a fresh morning juice or sliced into snacks. Also, they can be enjoyed into fruit and vegetable salads.
