WHO likely to take decision on Covaxin’s EUA after October 5
On October 5, the Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization (SAGE) will meet at the World Health Organisation (WHO) to discuss granting the emergency use authorisation (EUA) to Covaxin.
Any decision on the emergency use listing of the Bharat Biotech-made Covid-19 vaccine will be taken only after the meeting on October 5.
The SAGE is charged with advising WHO on overall global policies and strategies, ranging from vaccines and technology, research and development, to delivery of immunization and its linkages with other health interventions.
