Here’s the recipe for nutritious veg rice porridge

Rice porridge needs no introduction for sure. Also, it is super simple to prepare. Interestingly, this simple recipe offers ample health benefits, which are listed below.

Here’s how you can prepare it:

Ingredients:

Rice grits – 30 g

Moong dal – 15 g

Fresh shredded coconut – ½ tbsp

Ginger garlic paste – ½ tbsp

Fenugreek seeds – ¼ tbsp

Onion – 50 g chopped

Tomato – 50 g

Coriander leaves – few sprigs

Cinnamon – small piece

Green chilli – 1

Water – 1 ½ cups

Salt – as per taste

Oil – ½ tbsp

Process:

Heat oil and add cinnamon, fenugreek seeds and yellow moong dal. Fry them on a low flame for 3-4 minutes until they are roasted well.

Add onion, tomato, ginger garlic paste and green chillies. Then, add rice grits and water. Close the lid and cook for 4 whistles.

Now, switch off the pan and let the pressure go

Open the pan, add fresh shredded coconut, coriander leaves and salt.

That’s it. Mix it well and serve hot!
