Government preparing for a surge of 4.5 to 5 lakh Covid cases a day: Dr VK Paul
At a press conference, Dr VK Paul said that the government is preparing for a surge of 4.5-5 lakh cases per day.
“We don’t have a straight-forward formula to calculate what extent the peak could reach this time after reaching 71% vaccination with the 1st dose. The government is preparing for a surge of 4.5 to 5 lakh cases per day,” said Dr VK Paul.
There are 34 districts which are reporting a weekly positivity rate of over 10%,” said Lav Agarwal, Joint Secretary, Union Health Ministry.
