Government: Don’t travel unnecessarily, Covid pandemic far from over
The government asked people not to travel unnecessarily as the Covid-19 pandemic is far from over and the virus behaviour cannot be taken for granted.
During a press briefing, Niti Aayog’s Dr VK Paul said, “Though more people are receiving vaccines now, there is still a cause for concern since people are vulnerable to the virus. This is not the time for large-scale festivities. Don’t travel unnecessarily.”
“There’s a noticeable increase in cases across the world, which remains an area of concern. We’ve to work on containing the spread of the virus with strictness,” he said.
