Covid-19 in India: Kerala logs over 30,000 cases, positivity rate rises to 17.63%
As of Wednesday, Kerala reported 30,196 new Covid-19 cases and 181 deaths in the past 24 hours. With this, after testing 1,71,295 samples in the last 24 hours, the Test Positivity Rate (TPR), which was witnessing a gradual decline, rose to 17.63 per cent after testing.
Now, the total caseload rose to 42,83,494 and the total death toll is now at 22,001.
Among the 14 districts of the state, Thrissur recorded the highest with 3,120 cases followed by Kozhikode (2,205), Ernakulam (2,029), Malappuram (1,695), Kollam (1,624), Palakkad (1,569), Thiruvananthapuram (1,483), Alappuzha (1,444), Kannur (1,262) and Kottayam (1,020).
