Covid-19 in Hyderabad: Records one lakh positive cases
The impact of coronavirus second wave on Greater Hyderabad is too hard for sure. On Wednesday, the city has crossed more than one lakh positive cases. GHMC’s maximum case load now stands at 1,00,881. On the other hand, state’s total number of cases stand at 4,19,966.
In the last 24 hours alone, the GHMC reported 1,508 cases, the highest in a single day this year.
Director of public health Dr G Srinivasa Rao said, “We are appealing to the people of Greater Hyderabad and peripheral areas to maintain social distancing, wear mask and strictly adhere to Covid-19 protocols. The positivity rate which is high must be brought down.”
