Covid-19: 86.25% new cases in 6 States of India
The Health Ministry on Monday said that six states – Kerala, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Punjab and Tamil Nadu together account for 86.25% of the new Coronavirus cases reported in the last 24 hours.
The ministry added that Maharashtra has ranked first in place with highest new daily cases with 11,141 followed by Kerala with 2100 and Punjab with 1043 new infections.
It further added that the Centre is carefully monitoring and holding high-level review meetings with states and Union Territories showing a surge in the new cases.
Also, the ministry said that nearly 2.10 crore vaccines doses had administered through 3,76,633 sessions.
On Monday, the number of active cases in India have reached 1,88,747 and it is 1.68% of the total infections.
Also, 18 states and Union Territories have not reported any Covid-19 deaths in the last 24 hours.
