Covid-19 in India: Active cases down by 1 lakh, deaths cross 4000 yet again
In the last 24 hours, India registered 4,209 Covid-19 deaths and 2,59,551 new cases. The active cases are down by 1 lakh and the total active cases in the country now stand at 30,27,925.
Tamil Nadu and Kerala are the only two states with over 30,000 daily Covid cases.
On the other hand, maximum casualties were reported in Maharashtra with 984 single-day deaths, followed by Karnataka with 548 daily deaths.
The top five states which have registered maximum cases are Tamil Nadu with 35,579 cases, followed by Kerala with 30,491 cases, Maharashtra with 29,911 cases, Karnataka with 28,869 cases and Andhra Pradesh with 22,610 cases.
