Covid-19: 1.45 lakh cases in India, active cases cross 10 lakh

Undeniably, the second wave of Covid-19 is sending shivers down the spine as it is spreading very rapidly than expected. The country witnessed an unprecedented surge of 1,45,384 coronavirus cases, the highest since the start of pandemic, as the country’s tally surged to 1,32,05,0926.

Also, the active cases in the country have now passed the 10 lakh-mark. This is the fourth consecutive day that India has recorded more than 1 lakh cases in a day. In the last 24 hours, 794 people died.

And across the world, over 13 crore cases have been recorded and 29.15 lakh people have died.

So far, more than 9.78 crore doses of vaccines have been administered.
