Take a look at what's growing in Preity Zinta's kitchen garden

The trend of kitchen gardens need no introduction. Many people are adopting the habit of growing their own food and making good lifestyle choices. Also, celebrities are no exception and interestingly, they are giving us lots and lots of inspiration.

Among many A-listers, Preity Zinta’s love for food and gardening is unmatchable. Recently, she posted a video from her kitchen garden or “ghar ki kheti” as the actress likes to call it.

She wrote, “I cannot explain how excited I am to see fruits and vegetables grow in our backyard. Mom was with me during the lockdown last year and we planted all sorts of herbs, fruit and veggies.”

She also added, “Now, I have strawberries, oranges, peaches, guavas , tomatoes, green and red peppers, green and red chillies, eggplant, mint, basil and lemon grow around the house. I am so proud of our little organic home garden. Thank you ma for making this possible. I am loving every bit of this.”

She signed off her post with these words: “Try it at home folks – you will be amazed by your own ghar ki kheti.” She added the hashtags #organicgarden, #gharkikheti, #strawberries and #ting to her post.

Mom-to-be Kajal Aggarwal motivates all pregnant women: Watch video

Actress Kajal Aggarwal, who made a name for herself in Tollywood, is expecting her first child with husband and businessman Gautam Kitchlu. She has been working out regularly with fitness trainer Anisha Shah.

She took to her Instagram handle and posted a video along with the note, saying, ” I have always been a very active person and worked out my whole life. Pregnancy is a different ball game! All women who are pregnant without complications should be encouraged to participate in aerobic and strength conditioning exercises as part of a healthy lifestyle during their pregnancy – Pilates and barre helped my body change for the better pre and through my pregnancy. This transformative approach has me feeling stronger, longer, and leaner.”

She added, “The goal of aerobic conditioning in pregnancy should be to maintain a good fitness level throughout without trying to reach peak fitness.”

Anushka Sharma: Worried about hating my own body after pregnancy

Actor-producer Anushka Sharma and her husband Virat Kohli welcomed their first child, Vamika in January this year.

In a recent interview with Grazia, she opened up about embracing body positivity and said, “Only a week ago, I was telling a friend how afraid I was because of this pressure that’s thrust upon women to look a certain way, even before they become mothers, before they get pregnant, and definitely after they’ve had a baby. Despite being somebody who is fairly self-aware, I was worried. I kept thinking – am I going to hate my body?”

The actress added, “I’ve realised that it’s a state of mind, it has nothing to do with how you look,” she said. The actress added, “My body’s not as it used to be; it’s not as toned as it was. And I’m working towards it because I like to be fit. Having said that, I am so much more comfortable in my skin today than I was before, even when I had that perfect body.”

She further stated, “I don’t do that anymore. I click a picture and I post it without obsessively scrutinising how I look. You have to be accepting of the body that’s done something so profound and miraculous for you. I’d never want my daughter to grow up with that sense of lacking that we’re always made to feel as women. Ultimately, it’s all about perspective. The girl who has the ‘perfect’ body can still not feel great while the girl who doesn’t have a body that aligns with societal beauty standards can still, be immensely confident.”
